Alderney Governance Review Team Looking for Full Time Research Associate (Policy Officer)

UCL logoThe Alderney Governance Review Team is looking for a full time Research Associate (Policy Officer) to work as part of a small team providing support to Alderney in reform of its political governance. The postholder can expect to be working on a wide range of policy projects – everything from fine points of constitutional policy through to arranging an induction programme for newly elected politicians. The post will be for a year, with the possibility of an extension, depending on funding.

Key Requirements

The post holder must hold a Master’s degree at Merit or above and/or a PhD, in political science, law or a related discipline or be in the process of submitting their PhD.Evidence of having undertaken policy work or a cognate discipline is also essential. A demonstrable interest in constitutional matters e.g. territorial politics, elections, parliaments, judicial and executive politics and research experience in any one of the fields named would be desirable.
