One of the objects of UKCLA is to ‘be affiliated to the International Association of Constitutional Law (IACL) and encourage awareness of and participation in the activities of the IACL’. The aims of the IACL are
- To develop a network of constitutionalists from countries throughout the world.
- To provide a forum for the exchange of knowledge and information about constitutional systems.
- To examine and compare common constitutional issues and to anticipate new issues and identify approaches which might be taken to them.
- To offer a pool of experts from which teams might be constructed to examine and provide advice on particular issues.
News relating to the IACL is published on the UKCLA blog.
Andrew Le Sueur has been a member of the IACL executive committee since 2010.
