UKCLA members and blog readers are invited to the following event
The Crisis of the Constitution: The General Election and the Future of the United Kingdom
Date: Wednesday 11th February, 5.00pm – 7.00pm
Room: Committee Room 2, Houses of Parliament
At this event, Prof. Bogdanor of King’s College London will speak about his Constitution Society pamphlet, ‘The Crisis of the Constitution: The General Election and the Future of the United Kingdom’. In it he discusses a series of interlinked constitutional questions facing the UK at the coming General Election and beyond, including those associated with the fragmentation of the party system, and issues connected to the possibility of Scottish independence. Prof. Bogdanor considers the nature of the various problems that are developing for the UK, and the possibility of holding a Constitutional Convention to address them.
