You are warmly invited to attend this year’s Ruth Adler Memorial Lecture, which is taking place on 20 May 2015 from 4.45pm in Lecture Theatre 183, Old College. The lecture will be followed by a drinks reception in the Lorimer Room.

This year’s lecture, ‘Human Rights and the Whirligig of Time’, will be delivered by Sir Stephen Sedley, who  sat as a Judge of the Court of Appeal for England and Wales between 1999 and 2011.

Ruth Adler Memorial Lectures in the past were delivered by, among others, Professor Christopher McCrudden, Queen’s University of Belfast, in 2013 (which you can read here), and Professor Conor Gearty, London School of Economics, in 2009 (which you can listen to as a podcast here).
